Anthony Rolando of Make Noise stopped by the studio Sunday and gave us a demo of his creations.

This segment will air later this week.

There are sixteen days left to participate in Mission: Michigan Vinyl Acquisition. We've already reached our goal but please consider giving anyway. The money will be spent with local records stores, labels, and artists.

Say Yes to Michigan Music, kick in a few bucks for local wax and we'll thank you on the air.

Since our ASCAP/BMI licensing kicked in on January 1st, we started the year with a live show at the stroke of midnight with Future Now by the MC5. It's off of Babes in Arms which was re-released on white vinyl in 2000 on ROIR Records.

We're still getting the hang of the new equipment so the production quality isn't dialed in but we're getting the hang of it.

Sunday January 3rd was the first installment of The Hamtramck Vault of Trashy Treasures with host Andy Dow. It was a fun Sunday afternoon in the studio. Andy gave us a taste of his immense vinyl collection alluding to some of the trashy-ness he'll cover in future shows.

Besides some on-air cues, mic levels, mics left open, and some false starts, we think the show went pretty well and re-aired it Sunday night at 10. Look for more from the Vault of Trashy Treasures as he brings in local vinyl collectors and spin their stuff.

We've got an all-vinyl electronica and techno show in the pipeline so stay tuned.

This is the first iteration of the studio set up on a couple of tables.

A single SL-1200 Mk2 spins a record during mic testing.

Version 2 enhancements include leftover cubicle parts with an adjacent interview area. Two mics capture voices.

V.2.0 enhancements include two new (to me) SL-1200 Mk2s on an old library table.
