Come on down and support youth community arts radio Expose Yourself to Art Radio program and see some up-and-coming artists.
MANNIKIN
Trying to do something new, maybe, while remaining within more traditional uses of their instruments. 5 years of anger and fun from 5 young dudes. Progressive, idealistic, loud, and Twangy.
TELEPHONE CALLERS
I think listening to the Telephone Callers is like swallowing sewing needles, or sitting next to the kid who smelled like urine all through the 4th grade.
COUP D’ETATAS
Chad and Doug started playing music together during their junior year of high school. They formed two bands during their time in high school, both of which helped them grow as musicians. The summer after their first year of college, they decided to start a new project with bass player, and old friend, Matt Beer. The three of them began writing instrumental songs together. About a month after the new band had formed Kevin Singer was called upon to write lyrics and sing.
DJ BLK_OUT and DJ SNAG TOOF
Booty bass, Ghettotech, classic techno and house.
$5-$10 sliding scale donation to cover the costs of equipment for the studio of the radio station.
The entire show will be broadcast someday on AM 1610 The Station.

About the Expose Yourself To Art Radio program:
The Contemporary Art Institute of Detroit’s Ladybug Studio and Hamtramck’s new AM 1610 announce a new collaborative endeavor that will provide a radio journalism and production program for high school students living in Hamtramck and Southwest Detroit.
The Expose Yourself to Art Radio program will run from January through May 2010 with students meeting weekly after school at a community center in Hamtramck and at the Ladybug Gallery in Southwest Detroit. After the May 2010 project completion date the program will continue and be sustainable at minimal cost since the production equipment is the main barrier in launching the program. Students’ work will air on AM 1610 in both communities. The focus of the program will be the coverage and reporting of community arts by youth interviewers and producers.
